https://travelweekly.co.uk/news/air/ryanair-to-exit-french-airport Ryanair is to close a base at Bordeaux airport after failing to reach an agreement over fees. The airline operates around 40 routes to and from the French airport with three aircraft based there and 90 staff. But Ryanair confirmed th...

Re: SunExpress Antalya
It was dissapointing when Sun Express announced this summer's UK expansion and went into LBA, NCL and EDI, but not GLA - so its good to see us catching up.

Without the American golfers, 'we probably wouldn't be here'
A reminder of the volumes of American visitors coming to the west of Scotland and how important they are. I don't like to imagine how much negative impact on this market the lack of any direct scheduled flights to the USA is having. https://www.heraldscotland.com/sport/football/24301377.without-amer...

Re: Emirates
This is idiotic of Emirates. As highlighted before a lot premier business travellers from EDI would travel to GLA to use Emirates when it was twice daily ( I know as numerous neighbours in EDI did just that) . The same business travellers no longer use Emirates due to frequency and they certainly w...

Re: Emirates
This is exactly the situation I was driving at in this thread a couple of weeks ago re GLA having all its eggs in one basket and failing to entice competitors for EK. EK see QR with double daily at EDI with high load factors that could possibly go 3xdaily, so they feel they need to step into prevent...

Re: Wizz Air Summer 2024 as of 30th April 2024
Pretty annoying, although it does validate what Christopher Tibbet was saying in the YouTube interview the other day. Let's hope it does indeed restart in October as planned. Iirc, I think the CAA starts showed it carried more pax in February than EDI-OTP, so it would appear there is a resonable dem...

Re: Christopher Tibbett Interview at Routes Europe 2024
One other comment I did see from him on LinkedIn was "Team AGS have arrived in #Aarhus for #Routeseurope flying the flag for Scotland’s fastest growing airport. " I have included the link to his post below. LinkedIn Post: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7188061012141518848/ Tha...
