Re: PIK

There’s a Global Airlines A380 heading into PIK just now from storage in Mojave via Montreal. I’d never heard of this airline. It turns out to be an English start up intending to fly a fleet of A380’s from LGW to New York and Los Angeles. What could possibly go wrong? Yes I read about this earlier....

Re: Your flights 2024

At last my August 50th anniversary flights all confirmed. GLA-LGW-AGP part mirroring my flight to the very day on 120874 on a British Caledonian Airways 1-11 from GLA-LGW. Back then my onward flight was LGW-NCL on DA106 on a Comet 4. This time the onward flight is southbound, not northbound, to AGP ...

Six fly off to Mafiosa Island

Not an Enid Blyton send up but a real life trip to the largest island in The Mediterranean Sea. Well almost the last of the Ruby Anniversary celebrations, (our best friends will celebrate theirs next Sunday), saw Bearsden, Ian, myself and our spouses set off for the beautiful island of Sicily. Once ...

Re: Air passenger tax

A bad move all round. Yet another way to deter business and make our country less competitive.

Is the air alternative rail travel? If so I hope they realise just how much adverse impact there has been on the rails due to weather events, strikes, staffing and journey times.

[quote="Speedbird Julie" post_id=11688 time=1712832850 user_id=415] I really don't get the hate some people have for CDG. I've never had a problem there and as you say the spotting opportunities are tremendous. It would be great to see AF at GLA. They really should give...

Re: Double French

Thanks all. A couple of corrections: The Nice Carnival theme was Disney and Fete du Citroen was The Olympics.

I’ve not been to Boit, Bill is it near Grasse? cDG was fine Julie and the staff at the hotel were very friendly. Mind you I did speak French which helped.
