Re: Your favourite holiday airline
Spanair I remember flying on one of their MD82’s I believe from Glasgow to Tenerife. A real bucket and spade route filled with stag parties, first time holiday away from the parents 18 year olds and wannabe be 21 again pax. Good times. Piperone and myself had a memorable trip on a Spanair MadDog PM...

Re: Just bought a CAM

Re: Could United be returning??
I have a very long memory and clearly remember Continental at GLA and attending a meeting when it was said the second service would be from EDI. That both confused and angered me. Why would you wish to duplicate the cost structure by introducing a second service from a different airport rather than ...

Your favourite holiday airline
Now that summer is upon us (even if the weather doesn’t seem like it) what is, or was, your favourite airline to fly away on holiday with. For me it’s no contest. The late, great, Britannia Airways. A great innovator and trend setter. The first in the UK to fly the game changing , and what became th...

Double EA courtesy of LH
Well folks whilst updating my old logs, now I’m officially a retired old fogie lol: , (my words for myself) I came across one of my trips in August 2011. Using my bmi miles and starting in EDI with LH on 733 EF I flew to FRA and onwards to DUS on 735 JH. Flights were using my “Diamond Class” miles i...

Re: Double French
Thanks Speedbird Julie. I’ve now finalised the last of the hotel accommodation and all that remains is to pay the balance later this year. QF will only allocate seats at check in and MH have allocated my seat but not Mrs C- allocated at check in for her! Hopefully we are seated together. QF leg os S...
