Re: SunExpress Antalya

It does show once more that the GLA market is very outbound focused. Speaking anecdotally vast majority of people I know are not interested in city breaks. Just sun sea and sand. This unfortunately is what drives the flights we get and the lack of meaningful connectivity. IMHO of course.

Re: Scottish airport to trial 'free parking' as part of luggage changes

Looks good on first glance.... But and it's a big but,

You need to have purchased an airport car parking space. So if you live locally it means you're paying for something you don't need for "free" access to drop off your bags. Little bit of a gimmick imo.

To be fair, I think it's to discuss valid given the airport this forum is dedicated too is constantly losing business to it.

Re: Emirates

You know I could have sworn just a month ago we were being told that the only thing stopping the return of the GLA second service was a lack of crew and lack of aircraft...... Now hey presto EK have found crew and a brand new aircraft to serve EDI. This has the distinct stench of what has hap...

Re: Emirates

Shambles but not surprised. Surely this should work both ways Not when the commercial deal / value proposition is not being matched or exceeded - EDI will shortly have a new majority shareholder who paid £1.27 billion for a 50.01% share of the business . . . . they clearly going to go for expansion...

Re: LM drop GLA-SOU

EZY really are arses at GLA. Constantly rearrange the deckchairs whilst undermining both themselves and others on routes.

Their flights to SOU have clearly had the affect of driving Logan off the route. Genuinely so frustrated.

Re: Emirates

They have added a 7th daily LHR, went double daily at STN, back at pre COVID levels at both MAN and BHX.... I think it's a fair question to ask. They seem to have been able to find a spare 77W and crew for these routes. It reeks of "we have no direct competition, let's milk the Glaswegians". I don'...

Re: Emirates

They are bothered .. it will happen just be patient Are they? Since COVID they've added multiple flights to elsewhere in the UK. GLA hasn't had a look in. Personally I feel they need direct competition from the likes of TK to focus the mind. Given forward bookings and loads I feel the average EK cu...
