If they can’t even hang onto Loganair SOU, I really have my doubts about the ability for any other business to be secured.

Re: Emirates
In relation to the benefits or otherwise of direct competition, isn’t the risk for GLA that EK return to the airport where QR operates double daily, presumably on a A359 and competes directly with QR? This could mean EK sticking with a daily 388 from GLA. Wow! Deadly accurate mate. You don't have t...

Re: Ryanair Winter 2024 as of 2nd May 2024
The mind boggles. Just let the airlines publish their full schedules before all the pointless pant creaming about the possibility of a base.southflyer wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 11:10 pmNot sure how this can suggest a GLA base then?

Re: EZY S24
Nothing new to folks on here but some good local publicity for aircraft 6, might get some folk to look at booking for their hols at a later date from the airport. https://www.glasgowtimes.co.uk/news/scottish-news/24294587.easyjet-introduces-sixth-plane-glasgow-airport-ahead-summer/ The new plane wi...

Indeed. Wait until the full airline schedules are known before all the speculation.southflyer wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 4:02 pmNot this again...awwdabaaby wrote: ↑Thu May 02, 2024 12:45 pm Interesting DUB is showing as 4xdaily some days but only 1 on others, could the base finally be coming in October?

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?
I tweeted GLA way back when Scotland first qualified to suggest they talk to the likes of LH EW FR and U2 to discuss extra capacity over Euro24. What we got doesn’t exactly set the heather alight, but much needed and will take it.

Re: LM drop GLA-SOU
I think the playing field would be very different if GLA's management were as aggresive as EDI's. The same goes for your Ryanair point, we did get a Ryanair base and AGS failed to entertain them, so they left. Nothing will change until the airport is under proper management. Hear hear. I’ve said th...

Re: LM drop GLA-SOU
Lack of demand too, it seems. We used to have regular flights to the likes of NWI, CWL, MAN, LBA and more. If no one wants to fly to/from Glasgow and these places it doesn’t make sense to provide flights. Do you apply that same logic to EWR, JFK, MCO, YHZ, YYC etc too? No one wants to fly to/from G...

Re: LM drop GLA-SOU
I think there's a lot to be said about the people running the show rather than the airlines themselves... Hear hear. I’ve been saying this for years. Glad others are finally catching up. Lack of demand too, it seems. We used to have regular flights to the likes of NWI, CWL, MAN, LBA and more. If no...

Re: LM drop GLA-SOU
EZY really are arses at GLA . Constantly rearrange the deckchairs whilst undermining both themselves and others on routes. Their flights to SOU have clearly had the affect of driving Logan off the route. Genuinely so frustrated. EZY are indeed arses at GLA. Never a truer word spoken. I've lost coun...
