Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?
An increase to 8.5m equates to about a further 1.3m passengers compared to the MAT to October 2023 of 7.2m (latest month from CAA data). There's not much growth between now and March, so most of that 1.3m has to happen between March and December, with the bulk of it most likely being by October. We...

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?
GLA expecting 8.5m pax this year according to Ronald Leitch. Currently 7.2m It needs an 18% increase to get to 8.5m which seems somewhat optimistic Yip but that’s what he said in a quote about the upcoming jobs fair at the airport. We’d need a Ryanair base to get to that number this year otherwise ...

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?
Still nothing other than DUB from GLA for S24 and FR are/have released W24 flights from other bases. Games a bogey I suspect. Would be delighted to be proven wrong but it doesn't look like it's happening. Not giving up just yet, still announcing new S24 routes, BHX-TIA being the latest just announc...

Re: CAA Stats Oct 23
Over the season the carried an extra 3,013 passengers. What should be noted, and would definitely support your point is seasons of operation. Ryanair operated the route in W22/23 but is not this winter. As a result the last few flights may have been quite compared to last year as their wasn't retur...

Re: CAA Stats Oct 23
Good work George. High load factors across the board which is good news. The KEF example being an outlier because FI put a 763 on on the days Play are operating in a (successful) effort to get rid of them. Thanks Clive, looking at the list it's good to see city breaks picking up in popularity, dest...

Re: CAA Stats Oct 23
Just double checked, the number looks to be spot on at 224,378 seats.
3 class A380 has 517 seats so per day that's 1,034 seats.
217 days in the season. 1034x217= 224,378

Re: CAA Stats Oct 23
I would normally post a link to my website to view the end of season seats filled figures, but I'll just post them below. For clarification, I take the total seats available from the ACL Start of Season report and the month passenger figures from the CAA and get the load factors from that. It isn't ...
