In what sense? It's really up to EK to judge the route's performance and LF alone is not a good indicator.

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?

There would have to be some serious expansion on the way, given that 2019 saw just under 8.9 million. And that's taking into account that any new services would not benefit from a full year of operation.

With regards to Ryanair, this year marks 10 years since the base was first announced.

Re: PLAY

An updated S24 ACL reports that Play have been allocated slots for a daily service from EDI. It would appear that they may be intending to move along the M8. And pitch-up directly against EZY with almost the same product and almost identical aircraft? That will be a race to the bottom imho. PLAY of...

https://travelweekly.co.uk/news/air/emirates-reports-strong-forward-bookings-for-2024 Strong growth and forward bookings reported for GLA. They should hurry up and get the 2nd daily flight going again then! Maybe they're waiting for slots to open up at EDI to move the flights there 🤪😬 They've held ...

Always thought LPL was a bit of an oddball. Surprised at BRS, though.

When are Virgin returning?
Rumoured to be this summer but nothing more at this point.

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?

I don't think it's a secret by now that Ryanair closed the base over a lack of agreement of fees. I don't think it's a coincedence that Ryanair's presence in ABZ is so poor, despite virtually no low-cost competition. That's why I hope that the Andy Cliffe can turn things around and give the airlines...

Changing for the better IMO, the food and drink scene has been dire for some time but the offering is quickly improving. Wish the same could be said for the route network...
