Re: EZY GLA-SOU

Who’s going to use those flights? What stupid timings, maybe Thursday eve down Sunday eve back! As per other comments, pish and a waist of time. You need more frequency for domestic services. This won’t be flying come 2024.

Re: GLA is down, but has more growth potential

Positive vibes from MR Cliffe, time will tell. Easy win, Edinburgh has now reached saturation point and it’s venture capitalist owners unlikely to invest the significant expenditure it now needs to expand. As a departing passenger from 12.00 to 16.00 on Thursday, the terminal is now chaotic as so ma...

Re: Could United be returning??

I’m not surprised UA going double daily. I flew back JFK -EDI DL arriving Monday 20 Feb. 24 first class full, 18 business full, 21 Premium full ( I estimate c70% of afore mentioned passengers American mainly tourists) . C 6 empty seats in economy, where the majority were Scots ( inc a lot of Glasweg...

Re: Flights to Glasgow scrapped by major airline in 'difficult decision'

I agree with Clive and Bearsden, they put forward a lot of good points on this. On investment/ banks/ venture capitalist ( Edi) …. There simply is too much money out there, so parties will invest in ventures that they really don’t understand .I.e Glasgow Airport. Plus 13+ years ago, I was involved w...

Re: Emirates

Great news to see EK significantly improving their Glasgow offer. Usual poor show/ up selling from AGS their CCO Matt Hazelwood stated “ reintroducing the A380 is tremendous news for Glasgow and the West of Scotland”. .. what happened to just Scotland or also mentioning also for the East of Scotland...

Re: Happy New Year

Sorry attachment too large! If you look at Flightradar24 a flight between ABZ-INV today 12.00-15.50 draws out “23” over the North Sea .

Re: Emirates

Qatar just confirmed 10 weekly at Edinburgh from February, before going twice daily, assumed by autumn. If Emirates don’t get their finger out at Glasgow and increase capacity at an early stage, there won’t be a market left for this at Glasgow. Let’s hope they do it soon.

Re: Edinburgh

Yes on flip side, not surprising and I agree one EK is at present a cash cow. As they have reduced their seats at GLA from 360+580 to just 360 a day, with the economy seats costing twice as much as they did in 2019. The problem is when EK try to go back to twice daily, Qatar and possibly TK will be ...
