Flight diary

Post by bill »

Finally got round to logging my flights on the FlightRadar24 flight diary. I've been meaning to do it for years as whatever flights I can remember are usually scattered around on various bits of paper/boarding passes etc... It ended up as a labour of love as I got right fed up inputing the info but surprised in the end that I've actually had 282 flights and flown 168,320 miles or 6.8 times round the world, all short/medium haul :o All those wee EZY GLA-STN/LTN flights sure add up.

Seeing this made me go and check my own statistics.

100 flights on 19 airlines (FR in first with 23, then Jet2 with 16) totalling 95,055 miles. The top airport is GLA with 49 flights.

Most flown route is PRG-GLA with 9 flights and the corresponding outbound flight with 7 - however one each of these was back in flyglobespan days.

I have 3 more flights booked between now and the end of September: BA GLA-LHR, FR LTN-BOJ and FR SOF-well, I had no choice.

Mine breaks down thus:

19 Airlines flown (EZY 140 / BA 32 / LS 26 / FR21 / Y2 12) my top 5 airlines.
43 airports ( GLA 238 / STN 102 / BRS 25 / AGP 24 / LHR 20) top 5 airports. EDI only figures 3 times I'm pleased to report. ;)
25 aircraft ( A319 79 / B738 53 / B737 43 / A320 24 / E145 12 ) top 5 aircraft flown.

It's actually interesting to have the stats at your fingertips.

Leisure flights 94
Business flights 188. Got that seriously wrong.

Always a joy looking at other peoples and seeing some interesting trends.
I don't know if your aware but on FR24 there is an option right at the bottom of the flight info that shows most users on a particular flight.

I’m still updating my long neglected log but the BA Executive Club site logs your miles for bookings made directly , not groupIT bookings, and only BA flights and not Oneworld. I can’t remember offhand how many miles but many flown and that’s not including everything else which is non BA.

13AUG73 first flight GLA - NCL to current latest which was BA1498 LHR-GLA on 29MAY23 : not bad for nearly a half century of flying.
