Mostly retail and naff all to do with AGS and the generation of new business sadly!

AGS Looking for an Airlines Relation Manager.

Job Description

The Airline relations manager is a new role within AGS and will be integral in helping us grow our aeronautical revenue streams across all of our airports.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrable background in commercial negotiation and relationship management with an ability to develop bespoke contractual agreements. A background in aviation is essential, ideally within the airline or airport commercial environment.

Principle accountabilities

Define strategic priorities across the airports’ route portfolio, identifying and prioritising new opportunities and creating clear action plans, inputting into financial plans
Act as a key point of contact within the AGS group for existing airlines, building and maintaining day to day working relationships, developing a communication plan to engage with airlines most effectively.
Coordinate communication across internal stakeholders, to ensure that the Group has a unified voice in speaking with airlines
Work with the Business Development Analyst, providing coaching and support in the formation of new business opportunity analysis
Create updated and new aeronautical contracts that support strategic principles and maximise revenue for AGS, both for new and existing carriers, preparing material where required for internal sign off (including Executive team and Board)
Work closely with commercial insights team to define, scope and support analysis and data required to provide insight to customers and develop new opportunities

Qualifications and experience

Experience of working within the aviation industry in a commercial role
Strong commercial acumen and a high level of analytical / finance knowledge / skills
Highly organised managing many stakeholders
Well-developed influencing and proven negotiation skills
Ability to communicate at all levels though out an organisation
Passionate about aviation
Strong personal drive and result focused
Framework and boundaries

Group Corporate governance standards and procedures
Company Policy and Procedures

Looks like re-creating what Francois used to do, but only for GLA. Perhaps a recognition that route development needs dedicated attention, although having one person dividing their attention over 3 airports may be a stretch. A good move, let's hope they fill the post without too much delay.
