Lufthansa

Can any of our travel agents advise if this is correct.

Looking at Lufthansa flights from EDI or GLA to FRA and onwards to MUC in J class. Do LH seriously expect you to pay for hold bags as an extra?

They have Light, Classic and Flex in Economy and similar in Business - you need to pay for extras (bags and possibly seats) with their Business Saver fare.

Also note that some of their Business Class fares are NON REFUNDABLE!!

They recently withdrew all their light fares from the GDS and you can now only book these via NDC or LH.com

Fare type summary can be found here - https://www.lufthansa.com/xx/en/europe- ... nomy-class

Thanks egpffqtv, much appreciated.

We have opted for BA alternative flights. It’s now just a waiting game to see what is offered. So much for a special birthday holiday!

All sorted now. Going to LHR day before then next morning to MUC. Return flights all on same day, slight timing difference and complimentary hotel acc at LHR. Great service from a lady home working despite all the brickbats BA are receiving right now. I can’t thank them enough; it’s saved the day for Mrs C birthday holiday.

LH suspending their flights from LPL and BRS early Feb next, blaming shortage of aircraft and inferring they are unlikely to be
re-instated.

Always thought LPL was a bit of an oddball. Surprised at BRS, though.
