Observational humour only, no political commentary intended. The same Ayrshire politicos who continue to demand that PIK stay open for all types of activity would probably kick up a right fuss about building a disease-ridden quarantine centre in their Ayrshire backyards.
I suspect you have that 100% spot-on.

Wasn't particularly aware of it but happened to be down a Prestwick this afternoon and saw it leave. Roads were mighty busy right enough. Can't seem to get my photo uploaded. Will do if I can get it to work

I was fully PPE'd up it has to be said, didn't see many else doing the same though. I shifted over to the north side for take off, it was getting silly at the mound. The drive taking approximately 35 mins to Monkton. Not seen traffic like it since the good old Scottish International Airshow days ! :D

Here's a photo.

The roads on the northside were virtually gridlocked, the A77 was solid back to Symington at 1400, a quick diversion through the village took me down to the A78, which was solid, but slowly moving from Loans. Traffic in Monkton was going nowhere, so I saw the landing from the car. Took an hour to get round to the flying club for coffee. Managed to get along to the A78 end for the departure, as seen here.

Whilst everyone was in awe of it, no one questions what special cargo it had on board. US weapons for Israel to kill more Palestinians, sadly.
