UA and DL both received incentives to operate to/from GLA. They both ditched GLA to concentrate and grow significantly to/from EDI. Incentives help for sure but they’re not everything. Jet Blue the biggest operator by far at San Juan ,maybe these new guys will call in a favour or two from existing major customers at their other airports ? :roll: Ryanair , Eurowings , Aegean etc

Friday nights in the 90s were indeed buzzing ,the place was mobbed , seven mad-dogs on stand at the same time !

He makes some interesting points, but truth is AGS are happy in their niche of being a profit making small airport , any new owner would know the potential at Glasgow from the outset .

Several Rugby charters due this weekend at Glasgow due to Edinburgh being unable to handle - Volotea , Carpatair , Electra Airways , Luxwing , Smartwings possibly more !

Takes me back , I went to the cubs/scouts in the old Inchinnan Church Hall in 66/67 and the BEA or Olympic Comet 4Bs landing low overhead with the full flaps down was a sight and sound to behold !

I remember the Sobelair DC6B OO-CTL was a regular Saturday night visitor in the mid/late 60s , on occasion a Sabena a/c was subbed in.

Planeenthusiast on here is planeraz on pprune ,he posts EDI stuff on there and on here at the same time , he also ridicule...
