Re: Coronavirus vaccine

Astra Zeneca jab. Apparently when supplies of this run out in Renfrewshire they will be giving the Moderna(?) jab in it's place. I got Pfizer'd. 2-3 days of mild flu-like symptoms, mostly achy joints and a dull headache after the first morning when I felt like I'd been hit by a truck which thankful...

Re: First ever flight

Boston to Orlando, March 1983 (possibly 1984) as it was a school holiday and we combined a trip to Disney World and visiting my grandparents who stayed in Marco Island every winter. I am pretty sure it was on a Delta 727-200, which was their workhorse at the time. Oddly, I remember the hire car more...

Some more info on this one.... https://www.routesonline.com/news/29/breaking-news/295386/interview-why-tenerife-is-forming-canarian-airways/ Its an interesting move on their part to create a more sustainable supply chain - if you can exercise influence/control over the flights its more likely you c...

Re: PIK

On another tack - everybody confident in flying in a MAX? By way of a notional parable. If a cat always lands on its feet, and toast always lands butter side down, what happens if you tie a piece of buttered toast to the back of a cat. So...personally I'm not interested in finding out what happens ...

Think someone’s been at the glue: .... "The airport development forms just a part of the £251 million deal, which hopes to create 7000 jobs. It aims to attract further private investment of £300 million. Councillor Henderson added: “It has taken four years of work to get to this. It has been doom a...

Re: PIK

I heard it said there's been a bit of 'extra' Russian submarine activity out in the Atlantic, Iceland and the gaps north of us and Norway. This is probably a good excuse to get the P8's of various countries up and about in full on patrol mode. Scouring the bottom of the Atlantic for any remaining s...

Re: Corona virus, is the endgame upon us ?

I hope the endgame is upon us, like we all do.This pandemic has made me think that the constant washing/sanitising of hands is something we should have been doing prior to the outbreak. It's amazing the amount of things you touch in your daily routine that other unknowns have touched before you,mone...

Re: Back online

Well done Mr.B.I was going to recommend flushing the DNS and then checking the BIOS and CMOS (no idea what I'm talking about either).  Good that it's all hunky dory again. Haha, those were the first things I tried. The instructions to our solution said first back up your installati...

Re: Post Covid-19:What does the future look like?

Wait till we get the third wave of Covid-19 in February 2021.On a scale with Spanish flu apparently. ;) According to some social media bloggers anyway. What do they know? It depends. In an admittedly off topic example, if they're getting facts from the same 'sources' alleging for example that 138,00...
