Re: TUI Airways Summer 2023 as of 6th November 2021
I remember when the move to MLB was first announced a while back, it was mentioned that TUI would likely have gotten a ‘good deal’ and will have a proportionally much more significant presence at MLB than at SFB, given its smaller size. I doubt they’ll regret it and can’t see them flying to a mixtur...

Re: Tui forced to cancel Glasgow Airport flights to popular summer holiday destinations
TUI have barely flown from GLA at all this summer. There’s been a 738 based full time but it has hardly moved. I think at the peak it was something like 2xPMI, 1xIBZ, 1xZTH per week and has been nothing at all for a couple of weeks now. Surely if they can’t even operate during the summer holidays th...

Re: VS moving to EDI?
Theres more than 1 based tui ... we have 2 738's and a 788 next year TUI were supposed to be increasing GLA to 3 x 738/MAX and a 788. Is this still the plan? I would certainly hope so given the loss of the EDI and ABZ bases, otherwise it almost begs the question why they’re even in Scotland at all...

Re: TUI
It'll not happen. A little optimism doesn’t hurt. I’m certainly not one of those who believes S21 will be anything like ‘normal’ but, if TUI are allowed to operate from GLA, I don’t see why they wouldn’t do this. They’ll want the 787s to be at least somewhat utilised as I think it’s pretty clear th...

Re: TUI at ABZ
The current timetable shows that ABZ is reduced but still indicates a based aircraft operating a few days a week with W-patterns elsewhere (presumably GLA). EDI looks to be unchanged since the last time I properly checked (October 2020). This consists of based flying every day, including 4 W-pattern...

Re: TUI
I don’t see TUI back at EDI with based aircraft. Going forward the Scottish base will be GLA . It just remains to see how they will operate it with W pattern flights covering ABZ and EDI using a pool of based aircraft at GLA and NCL. BFS and DUB can be covered by GLA, MAN, BRS BHX all of which have...

Re: TUI
The GLA-Egypt flights have been gone for a while now but TUI are now making much wider cuts across the network. Some of the new flights planned for S20 are still showing but I’m sure there are plenty of reductions. I haven’t gone through the timetable to check whether it equates to the loss of an ai...

Re: TUI
TUI have started back from GLA today with the restart of AYT. G-TAWU is currently inbound to join G-TAWX (2 x B738). A quick check of TUI’s website indicates the following operations in August. TUI’s Spanish islands flights are currently scheduled to restart from Monday 10th August at all bases, how...
