Re: NCL
When DUS-GLA started it was still being operated by Lufthansa on the CRJ, presumably targeting business pax more than leisure. When DUS-EDI was launched it was with EW on the A320. I suspect the target markets were very different and the Eurowings takeover changed that. I do recall EW announced SZG...

Re: NCL
Eurowings certainly see some value in the North East as DUS has been going for some time now too, I always thought it could be due to Army presence in the area. Perhaps it also serves the inbound market for Germans visiting Peak/Lake District. Perhaps, although MAN is surely closer to the peak dist...

Re: NCL
SeanM on twitter reports Eurowings have announced 2x weekly NCL-BER. VisitBritain stats show that Newcastle has a fraction of the number of German visitors that Glasgow has, yet NCL now has more German destinations than GLA. A number of positive announcements, including city routes, at NCL- an airp...

Re: Easyjet Summer 2025 as of 18th Nov 2024
It's pretty clear that the two "new" EZY routes for summer 25 come at the cost of three existing routes. Lisbon dropped, peak season Marseille and Newquay replaced by peak season Reus and Antalya. Same old easyJet. The press release says REU will operate year round and AYT "throughout the summer", ...

The press release also promotes EDI-ZRH. Bizarre.

Re: Easyjet Summer 2025 as of 18th Nov 2024
When RAK was announced the airport's press release appeared to suggest it was a winter seasonal route. In contrast PRG was announced as year round - Indeed, there is a press release on the airport website from the first flight on 7 Nov that again states that it's year round, so it surely must still ...
