Re: New majority stakeholders at EGPH
From November, DXB & LDY, what next . . . Barra? The EDI fan boys over on Pprune are eying up Hong Kong, Shanghai and my personal favourite... Denver  I mean as laughable as it is, would you rule it out? EDI has service to places like Calgary and GLA can't even get a summer seasonal to New Yor...

Re: New majority stakeholders at EGPH
Bookings tripled from G postcodes, nevermind the likes of ML, PA, KA, DG even some FK postcodes added in there too. Bet EDI must love that PIK continues to operate commercial flights. Without that a GLA operation for FR could easily have 3/4 based aircraft and seven figure passenger numbers from tha...

Former chairman trying to make a bid for PIK. Re: PIK
Would bet that in the coming weeks there will be an announcement and the Glasgow routes - Krakow, Warsaw and Charleroi will all move over and they will start Budapest and Bucharest just to stick it to Wizz plus some "frequency increases" - no doubt the Alicante and Malaga flights. Its amazing given ...

Re: Ryanair: Could my prayers be answered?
Out of interest, are the frequencies loaded for the PIK routes higher than last year on the likes of Alicante or Malaga to make up for any potential absence from GLA?

Re: RYANAIR
Sean M @SeanM1997 3h Ryanair have outlined plans to double its UK market share and place 100 additional aircraft into the UK If that is the case, then you would think that most of the smaller UK airports without them will become bases. The bigger more established basis must be at or close to saturat...

Re: PIK
You'd be talking millions to demolish an old asbestos filled terminal to replace it with a brand new one surely, to then probably still risk running it at a loss for a small amount of passengers? To be fair, I wouldn't put it past someone doing that given all the silly money that gets thrown around ...

Re: Dundee
Good for DND. I've seen people moaning about the move from LCY, but its a no brainer connectivity wise and LHR to central London is a doddle on the Piccadilly line anyway. Flight times don't look the worst either.
What's the ceiling for DND do we reckon?

GCC bid to slow the M8 through City Centre
Transport Scotland will have the final say, but looks like theres a real motivation within GCC to get this done. Either stuck in a traffic jam or if its clear you could be reduced to 30 mph. Between this, inconsistent bus schedules, nothing on the rail link front, its not being made any easier to ge...
