Re: New Easyjet Route to Hurghada

Re: New Easyjet Route to Hurghada

Good news but the cynic in me wonders what it is replacing.

Sidenote. Will this be the longest flight in the easyjet network?

Diversions from EDI - low cloud, no ILS on 06

Brussels Airlines overshot and looks to be heading to Manchester

Turkish A321 also overshot but it looks as if they are changing to tailwind on 24 with ILS
Pilots done all those passengers a favour. ;)

Re: Reminising

Sata Air Acores flew to Faro in the Algarve. I think it was a charter on behalf of JMC. Side note, I'm pretty sure we had Turkish airline Freebird flying to Bodrum in the early 00s. Incorrect in relation to Sata, but I believe you are right about Freebird You might want to double check that as I ac...

Re: VS moving to EDI?

The 1,000.000/1 long shot but absolute trump card would be Emirates operating DXB-GLA-MCO. Whither they'd get the traffic rights for such a route or even want to operate such a service is a whole different story but if that did ever happen EDI-MCO would be dropped overnight. Maybe someone can ...

Re: VS moving to EDI?

Who at he moment in terms of UK airlines wouod take it over at this moment ? BA concentrating on London and have a policy of not flying longhaul from the regions . Vs at EDI , Norse perhaps or EI . Norse seems to operate from bases so they would have to position in a unit unless they start another ...

Re: VS moving to EDI?

Airlines will always keep their options open. They have to. Losing VS at GLA is a sore one to take. I honestly don’t know if they will return. They have already announced an earlier starting date in spring 24 for the MCO service. According to various posts, Wednesdays service to MCO from EDI went o...
