With easyJet reducing BHX I wonder if Loganair see an opportunity to launch a 2 or 3 daily service to BHX?Iain wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 7:19 pm Why Loganair Is Unhappy With easyJet's New Southampton-Glasgow Route

Re: Edinburgh
Just don't read the Edinburgh thread if you dont like it. It's as simple as that. Jeezy peeps man It's a Glasgow Airport Forum. If you want to discuss EDI then join an Edinburgh Airport forum or post on the many EDI-spam filled threads on Pprune or Airliners.net. Simple as that. If I wanted to read...

Re: Edinburgh
Hi all Can we all forget about EDI they have their own forum, let here more about Glasgow city and Glasgow Airport The EDI thread is the biggest on this forum, Glasgow is spelt with a G not a E There is plenty going on in the west Leave the East to there forum I agree. Actually, it's one of the rea...

Re: Edinburgh
Not all requested actually operate as we know. Correct Emirates - request suggest daily service (if it operates) - Emirates have already said EDI will not return before GLA is back at pre-covid capacity. Delta - increase in seats. Extension of one of the seasonal? Atlanta extended? No chance! Delta...

Re: Edinburgh
Another forum stated that Ek will be back in the spring once the equipment is in place, and also Etihad are in talks again. That would give the airport all the major ME carriers. Emirates have themselves already said that EDI will not return before GLA is back at 2x daily. The rumour of EK returnin...

Re: Edinburgh
Ridiculous level of sheep behaviour from Ryanair and Wizz Air. Both airlines announcing new routes to 10+ destinations from Tirana and the majority are in direct competition with each other. EDI goes from 0 to 5 flights per week. I suspect Wizz Air will cut the route before it even starts. Ryanair t...

Re: EasyJet Winter 2023 as of 25th May 2023
Being reported on Pprune that BHX is reduced from 13 to 8 flights per week for the winter I'd be surprised if that was the case as what an utterly useless schedule that would be. Perhaps easyJet are making schedule changes and with easyJet opening a BHX base this winter the route could be switching...

Re: Edinburgh
And yet with all these dramatic cuts, EDI's network is still leaps and bounds ahead of GLA... I remember when GLA's network was leaps and bounds ahead of EDI. It wasn't long ago. The one consistent is change and change can happen quicker than some might like. The bigger they are the harder they fall.

Re: Edinburgh
Further cuts at EDI. This time with Ryanair reducing EDI-BHD with 3x weekly flights cut.
Quite a number of route suspensions and and frequency cuts announced at EDI in the last few weeks.

Re: Edinburgh
Good news. TUI dropping all long haul from EDI and in doing so GLA regains it's position as the only airport in Scotland with direct flights to Mexico and the home of TUI long haul. Hopefully the capacity cut from EDI will be redeployed at GLA.
