Re: International Pier - Airbridges

It's good to hear that the airbridges are being fixed. I wonder if this is because of the new owners or if the work was alway going to be carried out on this schedule. The replacement for the bridge on 32 was always planned, however was constantly delayed due to ‘not enough money in the budget’ whe...

Re: International Pier - Airbridges

Hopefully the improvements in the boarding arangements are appreciated by loco carriers. Do all FR/EZY flights use the E pier - I think I've seen EZY ones on the Int/W pier? The taxiways sound like a big job, I'm not sure the previous £8m of improvements for the EK A380 have necessarily paid off ho...

Re: International Pier - Airbridges

Over the past week or two, airbridges on stands 29 and 28 have been put back into use, however stand 28 air bridge is out of use once again due to a hole in the floor which is being fixed as we speak. Replacement of the bridge on 32 started yesterday. Bridges on 23, 24 and 25 which where also out of...

Re: BHX

Technically, still six based aircraft. However not enough flying to need all six at once. Some days one aircraft will only do the morning flights, before parking up for the afternoon and the sixth aircraft does the opposite. Other days the five aircraft are flying all day and the sixth aircraft is e...

Only working jet bridges on international are 30 and 34/35. 33 was operational until the other week when something happened to it during the high winds rendering it inop. 29 is currently in the process of getting new tires installed so hopefully be back soon

Re: EZY S25

Could be wrong, but I’m sure I saw somwhere EZY struggling to hold onto slots at LIS, and from what I know NQY loads have been pretty low this summer

Re: SNP airport strategy 'can attract more routes' for Scotland

Personally think Glasgow needs to increase the amount of international arrival gates to reduce the amount of flights arriving on domestic gates and then having to buss passengers round to international. Might seem trivial but would certainly improve facilites at the airport and by investing in the t...
