The EK first approach which resulted in an go around was because they were too high, this was feedback from a passenger.

Agreed, perhaps it will help to reverse the EDI bias that has been evident for some time, we can only hope it benefits GLA.

As I recall the runway resurfacing is planned for completion January 2026 at a cost of £24 million! Quite a problem for them!

I completely agree, aircraft on the ground waiting for a stand do not make money for the airline and have disgruntled passengers on board. Additionally there is also this recurring problem there with the ground handlers inability to cope with passenger luggage. Surely these are issues that GLA could...

Barrhead Travel

There is an interesting article in Travel Weekly from Barrhead Travel regarding the lack of transatlantic flights from Glasgow and highlighting the previous demand, it also states that they are talking to airlines, at least that could help the situation being a major travel agency.

I think that Virgin were told by Delta to move their home to EDI, after all they do own 51% of them, this was to consolidate their operation of one base, however their Barbados route was a bit of a disaster and they have destroyed the Orlando route which was on it’s way to being year round from GLA,...
