With the current Russian overflights ban, you can do LHR/CDG/FRA/MUC to HND or AMS/CDG to NRT as a 2 leg RTW flight.
Leg 1 takes you down thru Europe, Turkey and into China before getting to Japan.
Leg 2 takes you out over the Pacific and up over the top of Alaska, Canada and onwards to Europe.

Re: Edinburgh Airport chief flags North America and China flights hope
Probably Air Canada redeploying aircraft to other routes rather than US flights.
Given the stories coming out about treatment of tourists at the US border, it wouldn’t surprise me if US travel suffers a decline this year.

Re: International Pier - Airbridges
Does the taxiway need widened the full length, or only at specific pinch points?
Stand 32 is also back in use today. The old air bridge has been removed and all the large red and white blocks were collected and taken away.

Re: GLA and social media
Maybe the Numpties on the social media team should go on some training to understand the difference between a pic of a landing aircraft and a departing aircraft.
