An article on US visitor numbers to the UK:

It’s one of several factors drawing many more North American tourists to the UK and Europe than before the pandemic. Flight bookings from the US to the UK for April to June are 30% higher than in 2019
From September to November 2022, visitor numbers from north America were 20% up on the same period in 2019, according to Visit Britain.
Really shows starkly the level of failure by AGS in terms of being unable to secure any replacement tx service, despite a large increase in visitors from that part of the world. Iirc Glasgow is generally the 3rd or 4th most visited UK city by US visitors.

Hopefully this will drive numbers on Icelandair and Play, given their presence in the US market.

United, Delta, Air Canada and Westjet in frequency order! USA and Canadian visitors abound and that doesn’t include feeder flights by Aer Lingus, KLM, Air France; to lesser extent, Lufthansa and British Airways,
My personal best was the customer flying to DFW…..via DOH!

I asked him. It was tier points and mileage accrual.
