Apologies Ian for delayed reply....just noticed your comment even though I had read all of the replies.....stayed in Invercanny Dr 5 Apts towards the Linkwood Dr end.... almost in line with the 1st high rise.... which has now been taken down. Glasgow - Alicante, Oct 1978 with BY. Think the aircraft name was Sir Walter Raleigh. I wasn't yet collecting regs at that time. Funnily enough I've never been back to ALC since. Need to sort that out when the world gets flying again

Sir Walter Raleigh was G-BAZI. Mrs Accounts and I flew on her back to Glasgow from our honeymoon in Palma.

First ever was on a boac b707 G-ARRC from prestwick to Heathrow via Manchester. Then down to Southampton for a free cruise on the queen Elizabeth 2 down to Tenerife. Flight back from Southampton was on bua 1-11 G-ASJA
