Great stuff, remember it well. Were they supposed to over fly the Rockwell facility in East Kilbride but couldn't find it ? And of course this wasn't the only significant 'Shuttle' appearance at GLA at that time. 1983 was also the year BA put the brand new Boeing 757 on the Shuttle service, then launched the 'Super Shuttle' service with three Concordes. 8-)

Yes I remember it well. It remarkably coincided with a hospital appointment that I had resulting in an hour away from my work desk. :D

Also, our house extension builder was interested to see it so I managed to pick him up and take him to the airport too.

Then it was back to work for us both.
