With respect, I’ll post what I want, where I want.Clive wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 7:25 pmThat is for another forum. Not this one.egpffqtv wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 2:32 pmAs I have repeatedly advised, Edinburgh/EDI/Turnhoose/West Lothian facility (or whatever pathetic Moniker you choose to bestow on it, as heaven forbid we actually give it its proper name )is NOT my favourite airport and wish I didn’t have to reference it so often, but here we are. GLA are not delivering and we’re only left to discuss what the competition is doing.Clive wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 2:52 am
The Schedules section is supposed to be a handy reference source which compliments the discussion threads. The moderators are not minded to stamp down on healthy on-topic discussion wherever it occurs but what we won’t have is serial offenders shoehorning in their favourite off topic airport, taking the piss around that, or debate about what the moderating process. We’d like to think we are all mature enough to chat respectfully with the like-minded membership who are all here to share news and views on all aspects of Glasgow Airport.

Re: Easyjet Summer 2025 as of 18th Nov 2024
I use alternative monikers and mention it as little as possible so that EDI is not the most common word in this GLA forum. No one’s forcing you to stay. You can always leave if it’s not your cup of tea.southflyer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 2:54 pm Almost every development at EDI will impact GLA to some degree, some more than others. The reality is that GLA's catchment is being served by another airport. You can choose to ignore it by not talking about it but it's still happening.
We’d like to think we are all mature enough to recognise this instead of the childlish name-calling exhibited by certain members on here every time EDI gets a mention or AGS is criticised. Frankly, the same goes for the use of West Lothian facility/Turnhoose, etc.

I agree. Personally, I’m not a fan of discussing EDI, I'd prefer we didn't need to. Actually, I'd prefer it if the facility didn't exist. But it does and it’s unfortunately relevant since it continues to divert traffic away from GLA. I have no issue with people mentioning EDI when it’s genuinely relevant to GLA and when it is by people who genuinely have GLA's best interests at heart.southflyer wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 2:54 pm Almost every development at EDI will impact GLA to some degree, some more than others. What I do take issue with is when the resident EDI fanboys come here just to willy-wave and tbf to the Mods of late, they have been great at deleting the offending willy-waving threads when posted.

Indeed. Relevant mention in context would be perfectly acceptable if it wasn’t for the children trying to ram it down our throats in every thread and then challenging the mods for doing their duty in keeping things on topic. I only do this forum so that it’s a place for those with a healthy interest in the betterment of GLA to chat with like minded peeps. I don’t do it so that I can be targeted by diddies who don’t share our goals. Things are going to change big time. The mods no longer have the time or energy for the misplaced miscreants. If we are only left with a respectful group of participants who share an enthusiasm for the best for GLA then all the better.FlyGLA wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 7:18 pmI agree. I’m glad you think the same as me.southflyer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 10:41 am Clive, I find your behaviour embarassing. I've never known a forum where the admin publicly calls other members miscreants for having different views. It was you who started this dispute because someone mentioned EDI which was absolutely relevant, even if you do not see it that way.

Can you let us know who you think these so called EDI fanboys are please?FlyGLA wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 7:18 pmI agree. Personally, I’m not a fan of discussing EDI, I'd prefer we didn't need to. I’m certainly not one and can’t think of any others.
Please PM me your reply if you’d prefer. Thanks

Don’t fool yourself. It’s not for having different views.southflyer wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 10:41 am Clive, I find your behaviour embarassing. MISCREANT definition: 1. someone who behaves badly or does not obey rules.
Notice there’s no problem with the vast majority of posters, only a disruptive few. I haven’t named any names but it’s not going to end well for anyone who keeps pushing it.
