Almost every development at EDI will impact GLA to some degree, some more than others. The reality is that GLA's catchment is being served by another airport. You can choose to ignore it by not talking about it but it's still happening.

We’d like to think we are all mature enough to recognise this instead of the childlish name-calling exhibited by certain members on here every time EDI gets a mention or AGS is criticised. Frankly, the same goes for the use of West Lothian facility/Turnhoose, etc.

I agree. Personally, I’m not a fan of discussing EDI, I'd prefer we didn't need to. Actually, I'd prefer it if the facility didn't exist. But it does and it’s unfortunately relevant since it continues to divert traffic away from GLA. I have no issue with people mentioning EDI when it’s genuinely relevant to GLA and when it is by people who genuinely have GLA's best interests at heart.

What I do take issue with is when the resident EDI fanboys come here just to willy-wave and tbf to the Mods of late, they have been great at deleting the offending willy-waving threads when posted.

Can you let us know who you think these so called EDI fanboys are please?

Clive, I find your behaviour embarassing. I've never known a forum where the admin publicly calls other members miscreants for having different views. It was you who started this dispute because someone mentioned EDI which was absolutely relevant, even if you do not see it that way.

Don’t fool yourself. It’s not for having different views.

MISCREANT definition: 1. someone who behaves badly or does not obey rules.

Notice there’s no problem with the vast majority of posters, only a disruptive few. I haven’t named any names but it’s not going to end well for anyone who keeps pushing it.
