Interesting to see the ERJ’s are being refurbed, take it theres no plan to replace them anytime soon from that.
When LM took on the E145s it was surrounded by a lot of talk about international routes. They then had a rather brief and abortive foray into those kinds of routes and now have mainly settled back into domestics. Is the E145s the correct aircraft for that, or would they not be better ditching them and going all ATR? Even the couple of international routes they still do are fairly short and could probably be done by a turpoprop.

Think they do a number of international routes from other Scottish airports. Mind we were told by saabdriver that they couldn’t do it from GLA - not even a bread and butter CPH - because there are a plethora of cheap seats going from Glasgow East…,

Yes, but these routes are fairly low frequency and are pretty short hops. They could surely all be reasonably feasible with an ATR, so why stick with E145s which were dropped years ago by pretty much every other European airline that had them.

I don't have any doubt about cheap seats at EDI argument....but these cheap seats were already in the market before LM got the E145s or started talking about international routes, so LM's foresight is perhaps a bit questionable.

Now they're operating E145s on routes like GLA-SYY. GLA-LDY and ABZ-NCL. Is this the best aircraft for these jobs? Maybe it is, I'm just asking the question!

Logan air routes to Esjberg and Oslo have long term block bookings by oil companies: that makes a huge difference to the bottom line.

As for Scandinavian routes why was it LM to SVG from another airport, not GLA?

Loganair axing several routes/reducing frequency from 2024. Thankfully Glasgow is not affected.

Newly delivered ATR72 G-LMTF has emerged from the hangar and is parked up on stand 63. This wears the "Manx" version of the livery, with black replaced by dark green on the underside and tail, and without "Scotland's Airline" titles. This is to be dedicated to services from the Isle of Man.

Also today, ATR freighters G-LMRV and 'RX have arrived from up North, presumably to pick up the mail services, which are returning to GLA after 20+ years.

After all their recent cuts at GLA not much remains other than just the island routes.

Are these flights done by the same crew with a very long layover at Benbecula, Kirkwall or Sumburgh?
