Because it's Ferrovial's stake in AGS that's been sold, as is clear from the first line of the press release: https://newsroom.ferrovial.com/en/press ... -airports/
Thanks for your reply. As per the second line of the press release, Macquarie have also sold their 50% stake in AGS, pretty much making all of AGS sold to Avialliance UK. So, my question remains. Why are there so many new jobs suddenly available at AGS? If you choose to reply, perhaps you could do it in a less pedantic fashion please?
Perhaps they're going to retain the AGS brand in the short term?
Reckon it’s just business as usual until the new owners get the keys.

Nevertheless, it's interesting they're recruiting people to some of these roles. Surely AVI alliance will have their own ideas about strategy.
Indeed Iain. Questions are, why create these roles or replace previous incumbents now with little under 3 months left to run, unless as you say they will keep the AGS branding for a while(God help us all)? And, as you say, I'd wager Avialliance have people already in these roles and doing much better than AGS ever could. It's not the end of the world, but it makes no sense to me.

Some high heid yin at AGS has obviously realised they’re actually in the business of running airports and are appointing people to these roles before their new owners realise that AGS haven’t had these posts all along :lol: :lol:

Do we know when the new owners are expected to take over? Also, what are people's expectations regarding the timeline for positive developments, like route announcements?

My tuppence worth; and it really is worth no more than that, is;

Opening Salvo statement.
Lots of positive vibes
Long term Investment ( Real Estate) dangling carrot
Medium term goal of 10 m pax pa
blah blah blah.

In a years time, I would imagine we are closer to where we are now rather than where we want to be.
Im only going forward in 12 months intervals as i may be dead before potential realised.

Would largely agree. Some more drip feed stuff from TUI and Jet2 and the usual musical chairs from Easyjet. if they do really well, they'll add a route or two with away based flying from Ryanair. Long haul, new hub service, based aircraft fron new carriers etc would be an unexpected bonus. I doubt they go down this path, but I think the new ownership needs to be more aggressive with the SG both in their support of PIK's passenger op and their backing of EDI's tram service. Go after whats now being neglected at EDI, i.e. the loco. The airport has been too passive for too long and thats a big part of why its in the state its in.
