4 counters is not enough for them, they need easily double that during the summer.

Probably adequate for their weekday domestic services, as many people will hand baggage only. However, with more beach routes being added, there will be a lot more checked bags, so they may need to look at their facilities. There were certainly plenty of empty desks in the check-in hall for most of the early afternoon.

Fair point actually about weekday services, suppose that is the downside of them using kiosks rather than desks.

Cancellations from easyJet this morning - Venice, Malaga & Gatwick . . . I assume they are all 'late' as the updates on the easyJet Flight Tracker were all a few hours ago

All non-op, A319 and A20N parked up on stands 4&5. LGW is non-based for the first Sunday flight.

OK, relevant to the discussion here, but not GLA.
Ref. my flight out of EDI, I got this message from Ryanair this morning:

" Please arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to the departure of your Ryanair flight as we are experiencing security delays at the Airport."

Do they have staff shortages or what ?

Security is fine at EDI it’s the checking in system that is not up to the job and causing the delays. Not a fan of the changes made at EDI and not enough room for all the people in the check in area with baggage or just trying to get to security through the crush.
Next flight is out of GLA so will see if that has improved any on last time.

To be fair the issue is squeezing quarts into pint pots. FR check in first wave handled six based aircraft, this has now risen to ten. EZY in a similar situation and add in extra LH, larger AF and KL aircraft plus UA, DL, VS, with larger aircraft to come for QR and TK and it’s a bit of a squash. The new desk design doesn’t help especially where many passengers have multiple bags.
