I think it's also interesting but they appear to have chosen to use the LHR slots to fly to LBA, BHD and AMS instead of restarting EDI-LHR - That perhaps demonstrates that EDI is not the unending fountain of pax and profits that we sometimes think it is!
I never think it is!!

On routes where competition is rife nobody wins.

Looking at some of the routes , they have not learned there lesson ... head to head with EZY on many routes eg BHX and AMS - LHR just no offence is a death sentence

Well, maybe pax looking for cheap fares......

.......And the airport then wins too cause it brings in pax who wouldn't have flown, or would've flown from another airport. EDI are past masters at exploiting this by encouraging competition.

Sure, some airlines throw in the towel, but that doesn't really matter when you've got 3 or 4 airlines on the route!

Anyway, we'll have to see how BE 2.0 get on. At least GLA has got a piece of the action, I thought it might miss out tbh.

If true it will be interesting to see how Loganair react… would they leave the routes to avoid competition or go head to head.

Leasing in Marathon Airlines EMB175 SX-ASK, putting in its first appearance on today's Belfast service 1140/1210. Not sure if it's covering an aeroplane or crew shortage.

I read a report elsewhere saying their planned fleet expansion has been badly affected by a delay in the supply of parts , and that they will have to bring in several extra aircraft to cover their extended programme !
