Seconded.

Thirded. They really are a life saver at GLA,have been for a good few years now. If FR ain't interested in city route and/or bucket and spade expansion then these are the guys to talk to, imho. You very rarely see anything less than full Jet 2 aircraft flying from Glasgow.

Safe to say in the years ahead the 737’S will be replaced by airbus? Except for maybe the new gens they ordered which are still pretty new?

With Jet2's first A321 neos arriving soon what's the chances of GLA seeing any this year? With some of the longest sector times surely their efficiency would be of benefit....

Other than a "round the bases" tour, I wouldn't expect it. Might appear at PIK during crew training, but 8 pre-owned B738s are also being added to the fleet, coming from SAS, Sunwing, and Flyr. The A21Ns will first go to MAN, where the 757 fleet will be getting replaced.

Anybody else think Jet2 would be a good fit for a Halifax service replacement..?
Or would that be "a route too far..!!" say just 2/3 times weekly over the summer months.
It's got to be similar in length to some of the Canaries routes and I'd love to see this one reinstated from GLA but purely on a selfish basis.., as I'm wanting to go there in 2024..!!

Halifax would certainly be a good day out for a crew, pretty much a maximum duty time at 6h30 outbound, 5h30 return. Jet2 also already have ETOPS approval from the CAA, which gets well used down to the Canaries. However, on the current base it would need to replace a couple of other services, and that would be a commercial decision based on what would generate the best return. Could be something if another unit gets added to the base, but would still have to offer better returns than an extra Canaries, Turkey, or even introducing Egypt.
