Yep, we know Kirky. Non of the 'holiday' post was aimed at you or anyone in particular, just a general comment.

I'm sure there will be plenty of empty seats at EDI that easyJet are desperate to fill with Glasgow passengers as is the case with most flights from EDI.

But here we are again. Another thread and people just want to talk EDI. Since the EDI thread was rightfully locked EDI chat has taken over the Interesting movements thread, the Air Transat at GLA thread was turned into the Air Canada at EDI thread and now here's you desperate just to get in a mention of EDI.

And apparently the forum isn't infested by trolls and EDI fan boys?! Maybe we can start small.
Probably if coupled with a short holiday for breaking the rule. ;)
Great idea. Locking the EDI thread (rightly so) appears to have moved the EDI trolling to every other thread on this otherwise great forum. This forum should be for those who only have a genuine interest in GLA's success.

As I've said before, you really have to question the motives of why someone would join a GLA forum to then only ever post about EDI.
Not a great idea locking EDI thread. This thread as part of another subject group (Other Aviation) in this once excellent forum was a always busy with various material & news on EDI. I started to subscribe to the EDI forum, but I’ve never had that much interest to do so, so I never, but I was at least informed on what was happening with GLA’s competition in this forum. The Moderator (who in my opinion was anxious to shut it down ages ago did so) Completely (their) right to do so…. I’m now finding all this schoolboy stuff boring with ‘that other airport’ GLA east’ etc … trolling blah, blah, blah Who f”*king cares 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ Complete guff guys… Who cares about motives? It’s a debating, chat, informative forum. Grow up.

Quite agree. We left that schoolboy stuff in the old newsgroup forum many years ago. We are not having it here. The excitable one who is causing all the grief is about to go on a permanent holiday. Then I’ll unlock the EDI topic but the moderators will delete on sight every provocative post and ban repeat offenders. It was locked not because of the subject matter but because some people couldn’t help themselves despite warnings. It’s tiring for us too. Everyone should be a lot more mature than they were 20 years ago.

Nor is anything the mods do up for debate

Just to add there's a 'member' enjoying a two week holiday right now. His/her next one will be permanent.

Too many aircraft, too many seats, not enough crews and insufficient passenger numbers. In charter days cue “consolidation”. In low cost land cue cancellation!
