Easyjet Aircraft 6
Re: Easyjet Aircraft 6
government policy on the back of a Pandemic. Are you advocating then that its only the airline industry that should be ringfenced and saved?
Re: Easyjet Aircraft 6
No but aviation does need help. The government need to take into account its worth to the overall economy and how many jobs directly or indirectly depend on it.
If it all goes t**s up then how many folks will be left contributing to the welfare pot as opposed to taking from it.
All governments across the U.K. andNorthern Ireland need to understand that the private sector is the wealth creator which the wealth consuming public sector depends on.

And at the same time you are saying ScotGov should not have saved PIK from closure.atuk wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 3:51 pmNo but aviation does need help. The government need to take into account its worth to the overall economy and how many jobs directly or indirectly depend on it.

PIK is a dead duck on which millions have been squandered. Easyjet is a successful British company which has contributed millions to the UK economy over the past twenty five years.
In fact this year is the first time it has EVER made a loss.
To compare the two and try to state I’m sending confusing messages is like saying chalk and cheese are one and the same.
My message is crystal clear for anyone with a shred of business acumen to understand.

No, it’s contradictory. PIK’s existence was said to contribute £60million to the Scottish economy. To ignore that productivity or return in investment (even though the £40m is a loan and not an outlay) betrays a dearth of business acumen. There’s two sides to the equation.
And that’s the third time you’ve said something is a British company as if that holds any sway on their worth or viability.
