I guess he makes it known that he's always available for comment. But, you would think Glasgow-based STV would find a local source.
Same on BBC Scotland - interview with easyJet representative at GLA then off to EDI and Mr Dewar!!
I pulled BBC Scotland up about that over something, apparently they don't prefer Edinburgh over Glasgow, course you don't, you just prefer to send someone over 40 miles rather than 5 miles
They'll more likely have sent an Edinburgh based camera crew and "mute" production reporter from the Edinburgh office having saught out an opinion from Edinburgh Airport. A lot of what goes into TV news reports isn't handled by the main on- screen reporter. The story wasn't about Glasgow Airport specifically, it was about Scottish air travel returning in general after Covid-19. The fact EasyJet chose a GLA route and arranged a media call was entirely down to them.

The initial post on this thread (see above) noted that an additional rotation to BHX (making it three-daily on weekdays) was one of the indicators of EZY's intention to base a sixth aircraft at GLA. The S21 schedule shows just two daily GLA-BHX flights on weekdays. Does the S21 schedule still require six aircraft?

Malbec wrote: Thu Jul 02, 2020 4:36 pm Latest plan will see GLA remain at 4 aircraft through until the start of the S21 schedule, when the plan is to then add the 5th tail. Not bad considering most other UK bases (including EDI) are set to lose 1 aircraft (minimum, STN/SEN/NCL closures aside obviously). Technically, as the 5th aircraft had not yet arrived before Covid reared it's head, only GLA & LTN will retain their respective aircraft allocation, with BFS seeing an additional tail based to mop up the excess FlyBe capacity.

Schedules still being finalised and updated constantly, so what's on sale might not be the most accurate.

Very fluid situation so obviously things can change.
We already have a base of 5, the six was due to start tbis year, as of winter 2021, we will still have 6 as I have just checked with 5 currently based for summer 2021 at moment

Aircraft 5 was to be operational from 29th March, however this did not arrive as services had already ceased. The other 4 based aircraft, A319s 'AS and 'AU, A320 'OA, and A20N 'HR all departed on 30th March to Southend. We shall have to see what the revised operation brings, once the base is up and running again.

Summer 21 now on sale for anyone interested!

As already shown in the schedules section Pula back, paris doesn’t quite seem to continue double daily on certain days throughout the summer and Venice seems to be missing still.
