Presumably they are moving these to Spain for the drier winter climate and this isn't just another example of the 'Aerolineas Inglaterra' effect benefitting the Spanish economy ?

That's my understanding of it, Spain offers better climatic conditions for medium term storage of the aircraft than the UK.

From reading on Flyertalk it seems that the A321 CEO suffers compared to the A319 and A320 CEO in that it is classed in a higher band of landing fee charges at LHR compared with other short haul aircraft. Thus it is likely that these would be some of the last to return to service.

Next A321 to leave should be UXF on Saturday.

I asked the poster on Flyertalk who mentioned 320's going to LGW for storage this week if they had heard of any more coming to GLA but they hadn't heard anything.
