Good news.
Saab had said they didn’t see an opportunity because of easyJet on BFS but we’ll take it!

Called it haha!
Good news to hear, I wonder if Newcastle might also benefit?
Interesting to see if this Stobart suggestion comes to light then.

Very much doubt it, nobody can compete with easyJet on that route.

I would think that is the sensible option given that they are up against A319 and A320s

Yes, it's twice a day on the E145, with a planned increase for Summer 2021. Airborne time is about 22 minutes, I think - we flew it for Flybe on a wet-lease for much of last summer.

Dont have any idea how to calculate cost base for a jet, but, 22 minutes... Thats a huge cost of fuel and overheads for 22 minutes. hope the numbers stack up.

Anyone forsee a time when Loganair might acquire a couple of used A319's or such-like for routes like this ? JH was talking about "being appropriately tooled up" for certain routes when asked in that Anna Aero webinar the other day. I know that's not going to be top priority now, but say next year or a couple of years from now ?
