19.00 Easyjet tonight from BRI had PAX boarded and taxiing when told to hold on the ramp as EDI was closed due to ice on the runway. Alternatives GLA, Prestwick and Newcastle (!!!) all said no, we can't accommodate you!!! Why??? Long wait for news from EDI ended at 20.55 when they returned to the gate and deplaned. Flight cancelled, rebooked on tomorrow's flight.
METARS at EDI did show SHSG eventually...
