You will find 'material uncertainties' mentioned in hundreds of financial statements, especially in the travel & retail sectors

I don't see where the author of the article got the £5m cash outflow for the new radar - most, if not all, of the capital and revenue costs plus a bit of general overheads are paid for by the windfarm developer (see thread under PIK)

Probably. Despite what other’s imply, all airports are struggling big time. Of course they are after 18 months of a global pandemic.

This reinforces my point. Groundhog day. For the past 10 years on here, all members provide reasons why Glasgow doesnt stride forward.
The flowchart reads something like;
>>> PROGRESS>>GROWTH>>>WORLD EVENT>>>DECLINE>>>REASON PROVIDED>>>DROP IN PAX>>>USELESS MANAGEMENT>>>SELL AIRPORT.
Covid has affected every business practically. We cant use that for the next ten years. The stopwatch starts now for progess.
The excuses just go round and round and round.

Tell you what?
Shut Prestwick. Even if RYR doesnt come up the road, it takes away the competion.

It's really sloppy and sensationalist journalism. As has already been said, virtually every company in the travel industry - whether an airline, tour operator, airport or anyone else besides - has a material uncertainty statement included in its accounts and I can't think of one which has avoided it. Turning it into a PR story about AGS in particular is just scaremongering. Stories like this are a poor reflection on the journalist.
