Another GLA departure

Post by egpffqtv »

I saw this on LinkedIn earlier. Don’t know how to link from there so have just copied & pasted

Posted by Steven Marshall - Group ahead of Aviation & Marketing AGS Airports

It's December and that means my call to the "departure gate" is looming!

After 11 wonderful years in the fascinating world of aviation I have decided to leave AGS Airports. My last day will be December 21st.

It has been an incredible journey with many fantastic experiences. Many excellent airline wins across the years and numerous (never glamorous of course) visits around the world to meet our airline partners.

Thank you to all my excellent airline partners and superb colleagues across Aberdeen International Airport, Glasgow Airport and Southampton International Airport Limited.

A new role beckons for me as from January 5th - more on that soon.

Also Ronald Leitch Operations Director. Sad times at AGS and for all aviation in particular.

Marketing Glasgow Airport (even before Covid) must have been quite a challenge when you are up against the juggernaut that is EDI ably assisted by Visit Scotland. A case of jumping a sinking ship? Wish the chap well in his new venture.

Many on here - those who have been deriding the GLA senior management for years - must be delighted to see the old guard giving way for new thinkers.

Won’t make the task any easier though…

No it will not.
Bill Gates couldnt solve the issues facing Glasgow Airport.
In fact. Solve isnt the correct use of words.
There is nothing to solve really. The stable door is open and the Horse is in the beach bar drinking cocktails.
