Christopher Tibbett
An AGS position, his LinkedIn shows he is based in London - indeed he posted 'I’m onboard my first of many commutes to Glasgow as I join AGS Airports . . '
He was with Virgin Atlantic including as Head of Network Planning and Head of Network and Partnership Strategy . . . . I wonder what his involvement was in that switch eastwards!
He will be working with Matthew Wood, AGS Chief Commercial Officer, who joined AGS a year ago
I wonder if we will see any difference?
New Head of Airline Relations and Marketing
Re: New Head of Airline Relations and Marketing
New manager, let's see if he can transform the fortunes of the team on the field. .
Re: New Head of Airline Relations and Marketing
Unfortunately I think we also need to "Sack the Board"!!!
It's good to see people coming in who have good outside experience - and are not people who have pretty much only ever worked for BAA and it's offshoots. I said that about Mark Wood though (who iirc who previously worked for EZY, Wizz and DY) and he doesn't seem to have made much of an impact tbh.
The question I would ask about this new guy also is what is his experience with low cost airlines? If he's only really worked for VS, can he work with low-cost airlines which give the biggest opportunity for growth?
Re: New Head of Airline Relations and Marketing
Well it will be his job to grow the business for the benefit of the company, so fingers crossed. First job - get a Ryanair base.
