Vital that he is replaced with someone whose priority is to get a growing Ryanair base with dozens of Euro destinations, and replaced lost USA services.

Apparently not going till March next year though. A bit of a contrast to when Amanda McMillan left, which iirc was very abrupt (Did she jump or was she pushed?).

It will be interesting to see who comes in. Hopefully they'll have the kind of priorities Clive mentions.

I see later in the article he says that he changed the business's outlook from simple profit and loss to instead reflect the contribution it makes to the wider economy, such as inbound tourism etc and the economic activity/jobs etc that supports. I have to say personally that as an outsider I haven't particularly got that impression.

Yeah defo never got that impression either.. if that's what he set out to do , he has failed his KPI's that's for sure .. I wouldn't be surprised if he was pushed slightly .

There was; she was called Mrs Amanda McMillan. It’s noticeable that when Amanda took over Derek wasn’t long on moving away; firstly to Aberdeen, then Stansted then Heathrow.

Regards the last paragraph that emphasis changed and was focused on by Amanda and Team Glasgow.

Yes and that's just to get us back to where we were we he took the helm. I'm having an extra beer tonight as that's the best news I've heard all day.
I was going to post "Don't let the door skelp yer erse on the way oot" but I see he's here until March 2023, which is a strange decision.
Anyway, cheers all................... :D
