Recovery seems to have stalled at about 75%.
The other 25% now fly from EDI.

Minus ten points for being the first to mention EDI.
Only kidding but seriously, does this mean that overall the Scottish airports are back at 100%? I doubt it very much.

Maintaining 9th overall, 3rd again on Domestic, and 8th on International. International splits 320.8k for EU, 95.1k for the rest.
Domestic top route was LHR with 71.7k, followed by LGW on 41.7k, BRS on 27.1k, BFS on 25.7k, and STN on 20.9k. All others below 20k.

The contrast between Int and Dom figures is quite marked - EDI way ahead on the Int numbers but for many of the domestic ones GLA is ahead (LHR/LGW/STN/BHX) or at least virtually the same. I find it difficult not to see this as an illustration of EDI's ruthlessly successful targeting of international traffic from GLA, but they can't target domestic traffic as easily. How else do we explain this discrepancy that the demand for domestic flights from GLA appears just as strong as EDI, but the demand for int flights is much less?
Also interesting to see that GLA carried about 60% more direct pax to Mexico than it did to the USA in June! This is embarrassing on many fronts, but particularly when we consider the USA is Glasgow's No 1. inbound tourism market. I don't like to imagine the damage that must be doing to the city's tourism industry. No wonder the chamber of commerce are complaining.
If we look at it positively then GLA appears to be the biggest regional CUN market after MAN - but I'm not sure there are any other airlines other than TUI who could be attracted to fly this route?

Domestic flying is probably more affected at EDI due to them, having a superior rail network to the likes of London (up to 4 or 5 trains an hour, versus 1 train an hour from GLC).

Perhaps for London and Birmingham, but it doesn't make much difference for places like SOU, BRS and NI.
