Sorry to say but I don’t think this summer will see anything like the original schedules. There will have been many cancellations through folks being furloughed - I already know three work colleagues who have cancelled their Jet2 holidays. The destinations served will be dependent on the host country being willing to accept guests and given what has already been cancelled with bookings moved to 2021 not 2020 the outlook is anything but rosy at all.
Those companies who would normally sub charter summer capacity aren’t so the jobber airlines such as SmartLynx etc have no work. Added to this is the tour operators ensuring their flying is kept in house as much as possible will see fleet reductions overall.
I’m currently awaiting cancellation details for my TUI departure in June and even possibly our fly cruise in September.
