Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity at AGS Airports Ltd for a Travel Trade Co-Ordinator to join our Commercial team.
This is a full time, permanent role and will be based at Glasgow Airport.

Job Description

The Travel Trade Co-ordinator is a new position that will support the organisation in driving airline sales through the travel trade across Aberdeen, Glasgow and Southampton airports.
The role will involve actively working with airline sales teams to develop activity which will engage the local travel trade to raise awareness of their destinations, products and services.
Tasked with raising the profile of each airport’s route network to travel agents, the successful candidate will create, maintain and grow relationships with travel agencies within each airports’ key catchments through a rolling programme of branch visits and digital engagement via trade Facebook and email channels.
Additional responsibilities will include working with travel trade associations and tourism bodies, as well as supporting the AGS business development team across various projects.

Principle accountabilities

Manage day-to-day relationships with airline sales teams.
Develop, plan and implement airline travel trade campaigns, promotions and events.
Establish plans for each airline across the group to drive sales via the travel trade.
Develop and nurture relationships with leisure & corporate travel agents across Scotland.
Identify and establish relationships with leisure & corporate travel agents in Southampton.
Coordinate and facilitate travel agent visits with airline partners.
Take ownership of travel trade digital marketing activity.
Act as the airport representative at SPAA events and lead on all associated activity.
Work with tourism bodies and stakeholders to develop relationships with overseas agencies.
Support the marketing team and wider commercial team across various projects.
Track commercial success and report on all activity.
Qualifications and experience

3 to 5 years airline or travel trade sales experience
Have an existing network and established relationship with the Scottish travel trade
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fast, enthusiastic learner with a willingness to take initiative
Incredible organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure on multiple projects
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel
Framework and boundaries
