That’s good. I know the people of Cork were crying out for a GLA link.

Just wait until they see the state of the city, they'll quickly be wanting flights to *Europe's Drugs capital to be cut again :o :(

Jesus christ, people have been asking for a Cork service, an airline gives us one, especially as cork isn't a focus area for them, and some on here still bloody moan

Apparently it’s also a sorry state when they don’t shout loud enough on social media about new routes. Maybe it’s some of the amateur observers who are at fault…

Actually, it would be quite disappointing if Team GLA weren't promoting the new route to Cork.

For years, I’ve been critical of Team GLA's lack of marketing for new routes, which has often been non-existent. However, I’ve personally noticed a significant improvement in their approach to route marketing since Andy Cliffe took charge.

This is exactly the kind of posts we need to see from them on social media.

The downside of this schedule update is the reduction of 6 flights per week to Belfast, so a net capacity loss. Also, to accommodate the proposed schedule, there has to be a change to DUB or BFS, as Cork operates from the Glasgow end. If it's a Dublin aircraft, then we lose most of our North American connections as well. The return of Cork may not be a positive, we shall wait and see.

I’m not sure I understand the logic. Newark would also be a route resumption, and CDG is already being served. All new and even existing routes should get maximum noise, IMO.

Should we e-mail Emerald Airways and tell them to no bother starting the route?
