Bag drop GLA
Bag drop GLA
Hi, I noticed that in another thread someone asking about TUI bag drop and I wanted to respond but the thread had been locked down for some reason, anyway TUI, Jet2 and easyJet all offer bag drop at the airport.
TUI bag drop opens from 1600 to 2000 and easyJet/Jet2 open at 1630 to 2100.
1 hour of free parking is thrown in so you can drop your bags off for free and you get 50% discount on priority security.
We have asked TUI to start texting their GLA customers as the up take has been very low

Thanks for this. I’m on PMI 07JUN and have my tickets but no mention ofGLA bag drop. It will be useful though as staying overnight beforehand and save time to get through security on a busy first wave.
Hope all good.
Re: Bag drop GLA
Thanks, will use this tonight - how do you get free parking for it as there is nothing I can find about it on the airport website?

I’m guessing the free parking is in the long stay car park and you need to get the shuttle bus round

Found this on the Jet2 website
Is parking free while using Twilight Check-in®?
Yes, you can park in one of the orange one-hour parking bays on the ground floor of the multi-storey car park. Once checked in, you'll need to go to the payment machine located on the ground floor of the car park, enter your vehicle registration and scan your boarding pass to validate the free parking.
Absolutely nothing about the twilight bag drop from TUI (it is on their website). Nothing on the Glasgow Airport website or social media about the parking (or the 50% off priority security). Why would these companies not want to advertise it?

Just back and it was excellent and sign posted at the airport. Park in one of the 1Hour orange bays and then validate at the machine using your registration and scan your boarding pass.
Did not see anything about 50% off priority security though

TUI have started to text their customers to advise them of this option, but like anything new ideas take a little time to circulate.ADIG wrote: ↑Mon May 20, 2024 12:35 pm Found this on the Jet2 website

Yes I have received my pre check in email which mentions the GLA bag drop and very welcome it is too. Well done.
I do intend to use this in Thursday afternoon. Does the half price security offer only apply to parking or passengers travelling by public transport?
