There's also a marketing hurdle to overcome with our main competitor branding itself as "Scotland's Airport".

Personally think Glasgow needs to increase the amount of international arrival gates to reduce the amount of flights arriving on domestic gates and then having to buss passengers round to international. Might seem trivial but would certainly improve facilites at the airport and by investing in the terminal could make it look better for the airlines

That's a bit of a tricky one. At most times of the day out with the morning and afternoon based aircraft waves the international pier is a ghost town. As many have said before an increase in away based flying or FR aircraft based doing shorter euro flights could help alleviate this. Absolutely no chance of physical expansion while services aren't expanding.

I see it the opposite way AD1. The supply (pier facilities and gates) is far out-stripping the demand, passengers. Most of the day that pier is redundant, even the new dedicated Emirates lounge and the extention to the gate and the shiny all purpose air bridges lie dormant for 21 out of every 24 hours.Until we get the demand out-stripping the supply then we'll not be able to change anything.
