Court Line had survived?
The IT charter world would have looked so different. They would have graduated from 1-11s to 320s and after adding more TriStars including the much rumoured new three tone blue scheme replacing them with A330s.
Clarksons would have become the market leader for low end of the market with Horizon catering for the top end. British Airways would have sold off Enterprise and Sovereign and closed down British Airtours. The Caribbean network would have been vastly expanded with LIAT offering inter island connections and Mexico, Trinidad and Brazil being served directly from the UK.
River and Mediterranean cruises would abound with new destinations in Portugal, Spain and Italy: Jerez, Oporto, Genoa, as well as long haul services to Mombasa, Goa, Trivandrum, Colombo,Phuket, Koh Samui and Penang.
The Airfair operation would expand from Canada into the US and also the Far East and Australia rendering the bucket shops into obscurity.
320 would be replaced by 320/321 neos, 330s by 330neos and 350s producing a green, clean fleet.
And the others? Well Dan Air would probably have collapsed as their tour operator clients were absorbed by Court Line, Thomson and Cosmos leaving Britannia and Monarch as the main competitors. European deregulation would help each expand abroad with Court and LTU aligning then becoming part of a bigger UK/German travel conglomerate.
Well dreams are made of this….who knows what may have happenned?
