I dont want to repeat ad nauseam the same old point, however, for those of us who think Edinburgh is grabbing west coasters;
Jet 2 Flight rammed both ways. All skiers. Cant define how many weegies were on board, but, lets be conservative, 30 %.
But.....
On arriving home Sunday at lunchtime, the Doha flight was spilling its bags off beside us.
Not really important , until , I went for the Air X bus to the weeg.
Every 30 minutes service.
Couldn't get on Bus 1 . Full. Doha pax
Managed to get me and my ate on bus 2. No empty seats upstairs or downstairs. Doha pax.
Ill let others take it from there.

Re: JET 2- Edinburgh/Turin/Edinburgh
Thanks for posting - very interesting - Hope you had a great trip!
It would be very revealing to know the average Load Factor for the bus. Even at 50% I think it would carry more than 1m pax a year, which as mentioned elsewhere is more than the total pax throughput of CWL, PIK or INV.
As far as DOH goes I think it's shocking that EK have been operating from GLA very successfully for 20 years and yet in that time GLA management have completely failed to get any other Middle Eastern airline in the door. And now we see the effect of that failure.

We need more info like this to highlight to the new CEO and anyone else who will listen.
Re: JET 2- Edinburgh/Turin/Edinburgh
Not just the Doha flights. The AIR bus is also mobbed after the Turkish, Sun Express and Pegasus flights arrive.hads wrote: ↑Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:58 am I dont want to repeat ad nauseam the same old point, however, for those of us who think Edinburgh is grabbing west coasters;

Re: JET 2- Edinburgh/Turin/Edinburgh
Well hopefully the SunExpress will at least be resolved with them starting this summer. TK would seem to be an open goal given they've stated they want to fly to GLA, but AGS seemingly haven't even been able to get that over the line.
Re: JET 2- Edinburgh/Turin/Edinburgh
Agreed.
For info. The AIR bus stop has temporarily been moved from the front of the terminal (where there is barrier control) to stand 5 in the bus terminal. It was a bun fight yesterday to board with the new stand uncontrolled. Queues stretched right and left with others circling round to barge in. I gave up and took a bus to Ratho to get the regular 900 service to Glasgow.
